Get JVFR
There is nothing to buy and no app store to go through. JVFR is a PWA and can be installed directly from your browser
Currently in testing
JVFR is not considered 'finished', but it is open to anyone who wants to try it and send feedback. You can find the current version at test.jvfr.net. If something is broken or confusing, an email to info@jvfr.net is appreciated.

Before your first flight with JVFR
Three things are worth doing while you still have a good internet connection and boots on the ground:
- Make an account It's free and asks only for an email address. It is what signs you in and what lets your aircraft profiles follow you from your laptop to your tablet. Nothing else about you is stored — see privacy.
- Download your area Open the Data tab, draw a box over where you fly, and download it. That gives you the chart and the airspace on the device, so the map keeps working with no internet. See what is available.
- Set up your aircraft In the Aircraft tab, enter your aircraft's weights, arms, cruise speed and fuel burn. Mass & balance, fuel planning and the endurance rings all depend on this.
Keep something else in the bag
JVFR is not certified for navigation and is not a replacement for official charts, an official briefing, or your own planning. Treat it as a very convenient second opinion. Read the safety notice.

"Is it really free?", "does it work with no signal?", "why isn't it in the App Store?" and other reasonable doubts are answered on the FAQ.
