Data coverage

Offline map data is built region by region, so this page reads the live index from the data server and shows exactly what is available right now — not what was true when the page was written (because I'd forget to update the website otherwise).

So what does this actually mean?

The highlighted areas have offline basemap data ready to download. Aviation data — airspace, airfields and navaids — is published per country and covers considerably more ground than the offline basemap does; the app fetches it for whichever countries your chosen area touches.

Nothing here limits what you can see: with a connection, the map and the aviation data are worldwide. This page is only about what has been packaged for use with no signal.

Need an area that is not covered?

Offline regions are generated by hand, so the map above grows as areas get built. I never fly outside of Europe, but I can add any area you'd like. If you fly somewhere that is not shaded yet, just ask. info@jvfr.net

Aviation data currency

Aviation packages follow the 28-day AIRAC cycle. When a new cycle is published, packages you already downloaded are flagged as out of date in the app, on the Data tab, with an Update button next to them. JVFR does not update them silently — you should know when your airspace data changes.
